At Norwegian Log, we have always believed that great places to stay should feel connected to nature, beautifully designed, and built to last.

For over 40 years we have helped landowners, farmers and rural businesses bring those ideas to life through solid timber buildings crafted for memorable stays.

Now, something new is quietly taking shape.

Inspired by one of Norway’s most mesmerising natural wonders, our latest concept draws influence from the Aurora Borealis. It is designed to capture the feeling of sleeping beneath wide open skies, where the landscape becomes part of the experience.

But this time, we are doing something a little different.

Rather than revealing everything at once, we wanted to invite you into the process.

A Clue or Two…

What we can tell you is this:

• It has been designed with rural diversification in mind

• It offers a smart entry point into the holiday accommodation market

• It carries the same Scandinavian design influence and natural timber strength that Norwegian Log has been known for since 1984

• And it has been created to deliver a memorable guest experience within a compact footprint

The structure itself takes inspiration from traditional countryside forms, reimagined through a contemporary Scandinavian lens. The result is something instantly recognisable, photogenic and designed for the experience-led traveller.

But we will leave the finer details for another day.

Why We Created It

Many of the landowners and rural businesses we speak to tell us the same thing.

They are curious about holiday accommodation but want to start carefully and confidently before committing to larger developments.

This new concept has been designed precisely with that in mind. It represents a thoughtful first step for those exploring diversification, allowing them to test demand while maintaining the quality and longevity expected from a Norwegian Log building.

We Want Your Guess…

So now the question turns to you. What do you think it might be?
